My Backstory

Originally from Eastern Oregon, I moved west to study massage therapy at Lane Community College. While in school I worked within Sephora which gave me my start in makeup and hair, but it was not until a year after moving to Austin that I decided to pursue them as careers. I worked for Epic Day Spa for over a year in Oregon. Then, Hiatus was my first spa in Austin. And finally, Milk & Honey has been where I have primarily performed massage for nearly four years. However, I have wanted to open my own services to be available for at home care and now I can.

As for hair and makeup, I studied at Avenue Five Institute and following that I have continued under Omar Vasquez as an assistant at Medusa Hair Studio. I also have worked under another mentor, Joe River. When working under Joe I was an assistant on several commercial sets doing hair and makeup. Now, I am eager to take on my own clientele and begin to build upon my own brand.

Massage

My massage consists of several modalities including, swedish, deep tissue, PNMT (precision neuromuscular therapy), acupressure, and myofascial. Normally, I describe my massage as being similar to a workout. We will start with a warmup in each area (swedish), and then progress to deeper techniques.

For in home services, you will provide an address in the intake form when booking. I will arrive 15 minutes early to set up and discuss the goals for the session.

Hair

Within hair I offer a wide variety of services. For all first time color clients I require a consultation on a day prior to the service to ensure the integrity of hair, establish realistic goals, and ensure I have what is needed for the service.

All hair services will be performed at Medusa Hair Studio located in Seaholm. There is validated parking available in the garage locate on 3rd Street.
